Hi, I’m Meghan.
I’m a digital marketing strategist and global SEO manager with 13+ years of experience turning organic search into real business growth. But that little elevator pitch doesn’t really capture… ya know… me.
How I Got Here
I started my career as a copywriter and senior project editor, editing thousands of entries for the Encyclopedia of New York City at Yale University Press. That experience wired me early for precision, structure, and scale—skills I still use every day, just applied to a very different kind of content ecosystem.
From there, I went to New York Law School for my JD (don’t hold it against me), fully intending to go the legal route. A short stint in that world was enough to realize it wasn’t the right fit—and that pivot into marketing ended up being the right one.
Once I got into digital, it clicked fast. The combination of strategy, data, and creative problem-solving was exactly what I’d been looking for.
Since then, I’ve been an account manager, a strategist, a mentor, and a team lead—but the throughline has stayed the same: I build systems that make good work visible at scale. Not just rankings for the sake of rankings, but durable growth engines that actually drive business impact.
Today, I lead global SEO strategy at Taskrabbit, spanning the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Canada. My work sits at the intersection of content, technical SEO, and the rapidly evolving world of AI-driven search.
That includes:
- Building and scaling content systems designed for both traditional search and LLM-driven discovery
- Leading technical SEO initiatives and site architecture improvements
- Partnering with product, engineering, and marketing to turn strategy into shipped work
- Coaching and developing a team of SEO specialists
- Translating complex performance trends into clear, actionable insights for leadership
I spend a lot of time thinking about where search is going—not just where it’s been. AI Overviews, zero-click behavior, LLM visibility, shifting attribution models—this is the landscape now, and the strategy has to evolve with it.
I’m certified in UX Research & Design (University of Michigan), Leadership & Communication (HarvardX), UI Personalization (Georgia Tech), and SEO (UC Davis). Not because I need the credentials, but because staying sharp means staying curious.
Life Beyond Search Results
When I’m not in a spreadsheet or a Looker dashboard, I’m usually somewhere a little less digital.
I play soccer (goalkeeper, lifelong), spend a lot of time on the golf course chasing consistency, and ride whenever I can. I also co-host History & the Horse, a podcast focused on the stories behind the sport and the people in it.
I raise chickens, swing a pretty solid golf club, and have a high tolerance for chaos—whether that’s a fast-moving marketing org or an actual goat rodeo. Sometimes both.
If you’re hiring, collaborating, or just want to swap notes on AI search and organic growth, I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a line at meghan.lalonde1@gmail.com.
